Today,I am going to voice out a few suggestions which I hope would be useful in future. The first is ofcourse the restructure of the subsidy system which will be coming to effect soon in our own country.

I felt that the petrol subsidy should be diverted to subsidize things such as rice, gas, cooking oil,chicken,meat..ect...

As we know rice is our stable food,we really can't afford for it to rise so much..expecially the low income group. They are really the ones who will suffer the most,if prices shoot up fast..

Regarding the others food that I have mention,I think we do need to have them daily..as we consumers can't goes without these things..

Subsidy of petrol should also goes to the public transport like Bas Rapid which is really doing their best to serve the public and not like those other buses(doesn't want to name them, which are always irregular).

The public should try to use public transport as the traffic congestion is getting worst, day by day.I feel that those who can afford to drive cars should also be able to pay for their petrol...coz if the fuel price goes up ,all the other things will also follows..and who are the one who suffer most???...The low income group...

Another thing that I would like to voice out is caring for the senior citizens(age 60's and above).I do hope the senior citizens should have subsidies like special fare for riding buses, special seats reserve for them in public transports(some which already have these systems).

Even the cinema's or restuarants should also have special concessions for them.
How long can they enjoy life and how much can they eat?We, at least should be able to let them enjoy life a bit after their long struggle in younger life.
We have to remember that we too, will oneday be old..is that too much to ask?

I also feel that medical attention should be set for them,as they are not so strong anymore..don't just says.."let them go to the general hospital "when they are sick.

Even if the private clinic could really do alot, if goverment subsidy is in this.
Not every family have the time to drive or accompany their old parent to the general hospital,so when that time comes,a near by clinic will also be of great help,if the sickness is not that serious or they can also get the followup treatment or to collect their monthly medicine.

Well,as I says this is only my personal opinions..hope I do not annoy anyone by voicing out my opinions..
I just hope we could live in a better future and hope the goverment would know how to do its subsidy system wisely, not to let the rich enjoying it and let the low income group suffers....

With the price hike in almost everything especially food, the lower income family will be impacted the most. Things are so expensive nowadays.

things are getting more and more expensive by the day! every hike in price (be it petrol or food) is an excuse for price increase for others (both related and unrelated)... sigh..

Si lor, even in japan ,we also have this system, senior citizen oalso get special rates at hair saloon too,and they only pay about 20% of the medical fees, even if admitted to private hospitals..They even have special day care system which a bus would come to collect the registered senior citizens for various programs.all these plans are supported by the goverment..

i also find it hard to digest the hard life in Malaysia getting worst. some of the people really depend on transportation. and basic items like rice are so expensive.. bread expensive.. before they increase the price i wonder if they even think of helping first. in sg also have special concessions for elderly - even supermarket is tue extra discount for above 50 years.
