Now is the beginning of summer and also the begining of fruits season in japan.

I would like to show you some nice fruits which I wonder wheather they are also sold in Malaysia or overseas or not .

This fruit is called"BIWA" in japanese..sorry don't know what is the real english name if it have one...hehehe..

They are very sweet, and you just have to peel their skin and its flesh is very juicy ...It have about 2 or 3 seeds inside.

The one thing funny about this fruit is that, the japanese have a taboo against growing this fruit tree in front or in their house compound.AS they believe that bad luck would fall upon them..funny isn't it?

So these fruits trees are either grown naturally when someone throw the seeds around or either in an orchard or in some school field or near some road side. But it would never be personally grown inside a garden...hahaha..

Next,is the photo above of the sweet mini plums.Their size is smaller than a ping pong ball, but the sweetness is unbelievable.I can just eat them for the whole afternoon when they are chilled in the fridge...haha..

Here is a photo of the mini grapes. They are so tiny in size and also seedless and ofcourse very sweet. The japanese love to give these grapes as presents when they visit friends or relatives house.

When I first saw them I thought they were imitation grapes...hahaha.But when I tried them, they are marvelous..You know..the best way to enjoy them is when you are having your afternoon chats with your friends or enjoy a relaxing time in front of the television..hahahhaha..

The photo above is the japanese kueh or should I say our malaysian version of the nyonya kueh.

On the left hand side which have small balls string together is called "Mitarashi dango" and on the right hand side is the "gohei mochi".They are made from glutinous rice pounded into a dough and then grille on a hot stove and later dipped into a sweeten soya sauce as in the" mitarashi dango" and in the case of the "gohei mochi",it is dipped into a sweeten miso paste with sesame seeds..

Before I end this topic ,please let me show you my latest collection, and my also my precious...my mini bamboo.

I heard from some japanese friends that this mini bamboo is kept in the house for luck..So ,since I have always wanted a mini bamboo plant for my house plants, just the right choice.I can decorate my mini bamboo plant with "ang pows" for my next chinese new year,hor?Hahaha..

See lah..I told you I gila house plants, correct or not???? Hahahaha...

The biwa fruits looked very familiar. I remember my mom bought something like that back from Taiwan last year. Probably they may not be the same but the outlook is similar.....
