When we talk about Japanese Cuisine,we usually start with sashimi(raw fish, ect) right?Well I would like to let those of you know that there are two version of sashimi...one is the usual type that you will eat in the resturant and another type is the "ikizukuri"sashimi.

Well ,let me tell you more about the"ikizukuri"(生き作り) sashimi...
It is the preparing of sashimi from a live fish,lobster,octopus..ect..

The customers will select the fish or lobster from the tank in the resturant. Then the chef who is highly train for this purpose will slice the fresh of the animals, without killing it,with the heart still beating...

He will then decorate the plate beautifully with the thin slices of the animal, together with the animal...so you can still see the animal gasping for air ,and sometimes even its tail will also flip..

Many people consider this method of food preparation inhuman and cruel, but some consider it as a professional and controversial art.
It is not cheap as it is only serve in well know japanese resturant only...

I ,for one is against this inhuman dish,be it expensive or not...Yakkkksss...
Here are two photo just to show you what I mean....
