Today I am going to talk about how wonderful technology can be.When I was small,I used to see my mother washing our clothings with her bare hands.

Sometimes we would help her to change the water from pails to pails, but later the introduction of washing machine came out.
WE managed to get one which is semi automatic, and later a fully automatic one.

Nowadays,I myself is using a fully automatic type which also have a timer which I can set the time, which I want it to start washing.

I just put in my laundries , detergent in its designated compartment and add in the softener.
I usually set it at night before I goes to bed,and by morning time, all my laundries would be washed. So I just need to hang them to dry or if it is a rainy day,I can just put them in a drier.

The photo above is a fully automatic toilet. You can see the remote control panel on the wall, just above the toilet paper holder.

It can shoot out warm or cold water(by adjusting the temperture) to clean you up(cheh bok). Then it also have a button ,when pressed, can blow out warm air to dry you up...hehe..

There are two buttons, one is for washing your buttocks and another is for ladies listed as "blue day"( you get what I mean?)heheheh...

The next best thing is that,it is also auto sensor,so when you leave the toilet seat,it will flush by itself within 10 seconds.Note the small black dot on the lefthand side of the toilet, that is the sensor...

There is also a button for self cleaning, where you just apply the cleasing liquid around the toilet bowl and just close the toilet cover, then just press that button,it will start cleaning by itself.

The toilet band is also temperture controled,as we will have it warm when in winter time.

Next is I would like to show you a rice cooker with a timer and clock.

This rice cooker have a timer which you can set what time you want to rice to be ready to eat.

So you just wash your rice and add in the amount of water and set the time.It can also cook porridge and sushi rice.I usually set the timer when I goes to bed as my kids takes their breakfast at 6am daily.

Normally, electrical items with timer are also clocks when not in use,so you can imagine, knowing the time whenever you pass by their location...hahaha.

The photo above is a sensor touch fridge. You do not have to pull the handle to open the fridge, just use your arm or body and touch that panel on the left,it will auto open. All the doors in this fridge is also auto sensored,so when a certain door is not close properly ,a buzzing alarm will sound, until you off it.

I am hoping to get a more advanced fridge which is on sale now, which comes with a voice message. You can record your own message up to 30 seconds.

So whenever the door of the fridge is open ,the message will auto play.I feel it will be just nice as I could let my kids know what I want them to do.

As Japan is a country that does not have foreign maids, these high technology items sure helps to ease our daily burden.

Now even all my corridors, bathroom, toilets, carpark have auto sensor lights...save electricity in case someone forget to switch them off...hahaha..

Cigarette Name story
I am Peter Stuyvesant
I have two friends, Benson and Hedges
I came from the city of Marlboro,
In the Salem high country
I Always carry a Mild Seven
I rode on a White Horse
Going to Kingsway in Kent
It was Lucky Strike I fell in love
With the daughter of Master Duke
Her name Was YSL
We got married by Perillys , the priest
We checked in at the house of Dunhill
And booked into room number 555
I laid her on the bed made of Gold Leaf
I played with her two Matterhorns
When I poked in my Rothmans King Size
She cried in delight, "You are a Rough Rider !!!"
You are riding like a mad Camel
When I asked her if she is satisfied
She answered" I want MORE! !!!"
Then suddenly she turned around and asked me if I want to
enter her Gudang Garam.
She said... depan belakang puas, barulah SAMPOERNA!!!!!

Today when I was leaving my restuarant,I notice a cute car park in our carpark.
So,I went over to see it...It is a one seater car,and there is no passenger seat and at the back is the boot ..with a small space for storing ...
My first impression of this car is ..looks like a toy mini car..
I think it is not a bad idea to drive this car when we go to work daily as we do not have any passenger and it also save a lot of petrol.
I think this is the best solution for the fuel hike ...what do you think????
As I told you all before I love to eat fruits,I would like to let you all know the price of some of the fruits which are also sold in Malaysia and Singapore.

Take a look at these mangoes..price at ¥1980 which is about RM60..or SGD 25...per fruit...gila boh? Are they sweet and delicious...Yes..

Next is these waterwatermelon ,they are only medium size ,price at ¥1580 which is about RM 47 or SGD 20 per fruit...the largest size will be about ¥2100..(you guess the price lah..in RM and SGD..)

The photo above are the sweet musk melons..3 in a box price at ¥3480 which is about RM104..or SGD44...I still think they are expensive..but it is only the normal quality type, but if you really want the better quality and well know types, they will cost even more...
This the price for peaches..2 in a pack ,sold for ¥580 which is about RM17 or SGD 7 ..hmmm..maybe this price is quite okay..but let me remind you again..this is also the normal quality type, there are also better quality types sold at more higher price..
Just lik our friend AKK says ,we can feel like eating gold(chaik kim)...
So what to do..they are considered the normal price in Japan..and sometimes..I do have the urge to eat them..so makan gold loh....
Last night was our restuarant's half yearly dinner party...
We were all gathered around a restuarant chosen by our manager at 6.30p.m,and the dinner party went on smoothly. I was too busy chatting and eating that I forgot to snap any photo, how careless of me...

Later after the dinner party ,we went on to a drinking bar to continue and party somemore. This time,I try not to forget about taking photos but still I manage to snap only the beginning part of the party.

REASONS: I was too drunk to remember anything else..

Even need my friend to sent me home, coz we are not alllow to drive as there are police check by the roadside at night. The fine is very expensive and also points will be deducted from our driving license.

Anyway ,let me show you a few photos of the drinking party ..

I like this drinking bar..the atmostphere is very japanese, just look at the setting and you will know..just like in a japanese garden..

This is my manager..he love to drink and chat..a very jovial person..One of the best manager that I have met.

Some of my colleagues..nice and friendly..They are to busy listening to the other colleague's singing those karaoke songs...hahaha...

Here are some of the snacks that we ordered to makan while drinking ,chatting and singing..This morning ,I woke up with a hangover and luckily ,my daughter manage to help me prepare the breakfast...hehe..
Well..to end the story..I really enjoyed myself very much last night....hahahaha..

Now is the beginning of summer and also the begining of fruits season in japan.

I would like to show you some nice fruits which I wonder wheather they are also sold in Malaysia or overseas or not .

This fruit is called"BIWA" in japanese..sorry don't know what is the real english name if it have one...hehehe..

They are very sweet, and you just have to peel their skin and its flesh is very juicy ...It have about 2 or 3 seeds inside.

The one thing funny about this fruit is that, the japanese have a taboo against growing this fruit tree in front or in their house compound.AS they believe that bad luck would fall upon them..funny isn't it?

So these fruits trees are either grown naturally when someone throw the seeds around or either in an orchard or in some school field or near some road side. But it would never be personally grown inside a garden...hahaha..

Next,is the photo above of the sweet mini plums.Their size is smaller than a ping pong ball, but the sweetness is unbelievable.I can just eat them for the whole afternoon when they are chilled in the fridge...haha..

Here is a photo of the mini grapes. They are so tiny in size and also seedless and ofcourse very sweet. The japanese love to give these grapes as presents when they visit friends or relatives house.

When I first saw them I thought they were imitation grapes...hahaha.But when I tried them, they are marvelous..You know..the best way to enjoy them is when you are having your afternoon chats with your friends or enjoy a relaxing time in front of the television..hahahhaha..

The photo above is the japanese kueh or should I say our malaysian version of the nyonya kueh.

On the left hand side which have small balls string together is called "Mitarashi dango" and on the right hand side is the "gohei mochi".They are made from glutinous rice pounded into a dough and then grille on a hot stove and later dipped into a sweeten soya sauce as in the" mitarashi dango" and in the case of the "gohei mochi",it is dipped into a sweeten miso paste with sesame seeds..

Before I end this topic ,please let me show you my latest collection, and my also my precious...my mini bamboo.

I heard from some japanese friends that this mini bamboo is kept in the house for luck..So ,since I have always wanted a mini bamboo plant for my house plants, just the right choice.I can decorate my mini bamboo plant with "ang pows" for my next chinese new year,hor?Hahaha..

See lah..I told you I gila house plants, correct or not???? Hahahaha...

Today,I am going to show you all the result of my vegetables gardening...

The tomatoes plants started to bear fruits now..and here is a photo of one of my tomatoes plant.
Next is I am going to show you my brinjals plant ,it is grow several brinjals now...

See how beautiful they are growing...I might even be able to cook brinjal curry next week..hahaha...

Now next I would like to show you my edamame(japanese beans)plants.

They are also bearing now,but not so much..but maybe in a month's time,I should be able to harvest them.

I might be able to enjoy eating edamame with a glass of cold beer and then enjoy my favourite hong kong drama series, this summer..kekekek...envy me???? Hahahaha...

Today I am going to talk about shopping after being inspired by my good friend Tau Sar Phneah's blog.

Shopping to me is a way of releasing stress, and I found it to be very effective..hahaha..

Well, first let me tell you about our japanese supermarket or at least in my
area's supermarket.

They usually have time service sales about few times a week, that is when they offer certain items like eggs, fish, meat ect..ect..for a very special low price, but one person is onli allow to buy once nia.

The time service is usually about 15 mins to half an hour ,so after this time service finished, all these items will be back to normal price.

Another thing which is very interesting and exciting is the end of the day sales, which is about 45 minutes or half an hour before closing time.

You would be able to see a lot of housewives(including me),waiting like vultures...hahaha..

We will wait until the supermarket staffs start to stick those bargains stickers to the items, and then "the war of the housewives" will begin...hahaha..

Almost all the raw items will be 50% dicount and other items like vegetables, cooked food will be 30 or 40% discount.

I usually go to these wars with my "army"(son and daughter)so that we would be able to get a lot of good stuff.
Let me tell you a few tricks about shopping:
(1) Never go shopping when you are hungry..you are sure to buy alot,as everything seem delicious to your mind..

(2)Write what you want to buy on a sheet of paper, and once you arrive in the supermarket ,go directly to get your items which is listed in your paper..do not look at other things..coz you will soon get distracted by those bargains !!!

(3)Do not carry too much cash as you will sure over spend buying unneccesary things.

Well.... happy shopping !!!!!!!!

I am crazy about house plants, expecially FERNS...
They make me feel very relax and peaceful..
Ferns are easy to take care and they only need water occasionally..

I know I might sound crazy when I tell you that I talk to my house plants, and I noticed that there is a difference. I put a pot of fern in my garden and I just water it as usual, but the ferns in my house is I use to talk to them about 2 to 3minutes a day.
The fern is garden is rather slow in growing and not so beautiful, but my house ferns grows beautifully.
Here is a photo of my garden fern, just compare the size and growth with my house ferns, they are all bought on the same day.

Now,here is I am going to show you my oldest precious, been with me for almost 10 years ..still going strong and beautiful.

Last is my lastest beauty,I just bought last month..I put it near my other precious so that they can be friends..hahaha...
MY ...OH...MY....I JUST LOVES FERNS......Hahahahahaa...(^.^)

I would like to share a few humorous phases which I received from my dear friend Jxxx..I found them very interesting and maybe they could also brighten up your mood...

SARCACTIC:An old man was sitting on a bench at the mall.A teenager sat down
next to him.He had spiked hair that are red, orange, yellow, green, blue
and voilet.
The old man stared..Whenever the teen looked, the old man was
staring.
Finally,the teenager said sarcastically:"What's the matter,old
boy, never done anything wild in your life?"
Without missing a beat, the old man replied:"Got drunk once and had
sex with a peacock. Just wondering if you were my son."

SMILE: A curve that can set a lot of things straight...

YAWN: The only time that some married men ever get to open their mouth..

BOSS:Someone who is early when you are late, and late when you are early...

LIFE INSURANCE: A contract that keeps you poor all your life so that you can die
RICH...

DOCTOR: A person who kills your illness with pills, and kills you by bills...

MARRIAGE: It's an agreement in which a man loses his bachelor degree and a
woman gains her masters...

Let's just take these humorous phases with a light heart..and not get annoyed..ya...(^.^)
I am very crazy about shoes and clogs. So I am going to show you all,one of my favorite japanese clogs.

This japanese clogs is Lacquer painted and embed with "mother-of-pearl",also known as "Nacre".

I love this Lacquer clogs as the lacquer is durable, and I like the glossy finish. This is the first time,I see "mother-of-pearl"being embed in clogs .

If you notice the surrounding on the top is decorated with mini flowers(mother-of-pearl).

The two bands of the clogs are also decorated with sequins and beads.

When I saw this japanese lacquer clogs,I just fall in love with it,never even bother to check the price.I just chose my size and bring it to the counter to pay and home I go...smiling from EAST to WEST....hahahha...

Today,I am going to voice out a few suggestions which I hope would be useful in future. The first is ofcourse the restructure of the subsidy system which will be coming to effect soon in our own country.

I felt that the petrol subsidy should be diverted to subsidize things such as rice, gas, cooking oil,chicken,meat..ect...

As we know rice is our stable food,we really can't afford for it to rise so much..expecially the low income group. They are really the ones who will suffer the most,if prices shoot up fast..

Regarding the others food that I have mention,I think we do need to have them daily..as we consumers can't goes without these things..

Subsidy of petrol should also goes to the public transport like Bas Rapid which is really doing their best to serve the public and not like those other buses(doesn't want to name them, which are always irregular).

The public should try to use public transport as the traffic congestion is getting worst, day by day.I feel that those who can afford to drive cars should also be able to pay for their petrol...coz if the fuel price goes up ,all the other things will also follows..and who are the one who suffer most???...The low income group...

Another thing that I would like to voice out is caring for the senior citizens(age 60's and above).I do hope the senior citizens should have subsidies like special fare for riding buses, special seats reserve for them in public transports(some which already have these systems).

Even the cinema's or restuarants should also have special concessions for them.
How long can they enjoy life and how much can they eat?We, at least should be able to let them enjoy life a bit after their long struggle in younger life.
We have to remember that we too, will oneday be old..is that too much to ask?

I also feel that medical attention should be set for them,as they are not so strong anymore..don't just says.."let them go to the general hospital "when they are sick.

Even if the private clinic could really do alot, if goverment subsidy is in this.
Not every family have the time to drive or accompany their old parent to the general hospital,so when that time comes,a near by clinic will also be of great help,if the sickness is not that serious or they can also get the followup treatment or to collect their monthly medicine.

Well,as I says this is only my personal opinions..hope I do not annoy anyone by voicing out my opinions..
I just hope we could live in a better future and hope the goverment would know how to do its subsidy system wisely, not to let the rich enjoying it and let the low income group suffers....
What I am going to write may not be agreeable to others.I am going to talk about what I hope to do when I die.

I do not "pantang"talking about this thing as I feel we all have to accept death,as it is inevitable.

So,I want to make it clear about what I want to do when that time came.
Firstly..I am now hoping to buy a "lot "(condominium..if you know what I mean)in a cool and pleasant place in a nice temple(in Penang) and chose an urn of my liking.
I would really preferred to buy one near my family"condominium..."then I would not be lonely...haha..

Secondly..I would like to be creamated and not buried..hate the hot sun shinning on me daily..

Thirdly..no big ceremony..no need sadness..and no mourning .I might be gone, but my memories are still there..

Fourthly..I wish someone he/she would do a "kong teck" for me.
Burn for me those nice houses, clothes, money, cars, servants and at least 2 computers,ect,ect...(you know those papers made types that are sold during cheng beng)

I will ofcourse make a will on that person whom agreed to fullfill my request. Then I will pass an amount to him/her...

This post might seems ridiculous to others, but it seem alot to me.
There is no harm done because I can feel satisfied what will my funeral will be like.My family and siblings can also know what I wanted...

Do you all think,I am asking too much???
